Runback is a discovery platform for the fighting game community (FGC). We aggregate tournament information, player profiles, event details, and community news from sources like start.gg to help players find events, track results, and stay up to date with the scene.
Whether you're looking for your next local tournament, catching up on the latest FGC news, or tracking your competitive history—Runback brings it all together in one place.
Why Create an Account?
Creating an account unlocks personalized features that make it easier to stay connected to the FGC:
- Claim your player profile — Link your start.gg account to display your tournament history, placements, and stats
- Follow your games — Get a personalized feed of events for the games you play
- Event alerts — Receive updates about upcoming tournaments in your area
How Sign-In Works
We use OAuth authentication through Discord, Google, or start.gg. When you sign in, we receive only basic profile information (your username, email, and profile picture) to create your account. We never access your contacts, post on your behalf, or request permissions beyond what's needed to identify you.
If you connect your start.gg account, we can verify your player profile and display your competitive history. This is entirely optional—you can use Runback without claiming a player profile.
